Orange, Orange County
Chapman University traces its start to 1861 and moved to Orange in 1954, taking over the stately buildings of the former Orange Union High School. The campus sits a few blocks north of the plaza and has grown steadily since. Its film school is among the better known in the country, and students are a constant presence in the downtown cafes.
